Until the early 1960s, EMI (Australia) tended to lag behind EMI UK insofar as adopting new logo styles. This gradually changed from 1964, with logo adoption aligning much closer to EMI UK adoption. Of course, this lag was not apparent when local sleeves were printed from negatives taken from EMI UK sleeves, as the EMI UK logo was generally left intact. The lag is most apparent on EP and LP sleeves designed in Australia.
