GENERAL EP INFORMATION
All My Loving had the honour of reaching the (single) charts before it was even released, then reaching number 1 in all capital cities except Adelaide (where it was kept out of the number 1 spot by the Twist And Shout EP!), and remaining in the charts for up to 30 weeks, making it one of 12 local singles or EPs to remain in the charts for 20 weeks or longer.
The initial Australian release was essentially a clone of the UK release, featuring the same pink/red title strip on the front cover and pressed from UK-supplied mothers. Here, the troublesome Robert Freeman photo appears in all its glory, although the astute will notice that not only has the image been 'brightened' somewhat to reduce the heavy shadow, but the process introduced a graininess more obvious than that on the UK sleeve.
Mere weeks later, and for reasons unknown (most likely cost!), EMI (Australia) adopted a new duotone version of the artwork, with the pink/red title strip replaced by a cyan/black strip and cyan ink added to the otherwise greyscale photo (mouseover or tap above image). This variation is the most common and remained in use until the EP was deleted in December 1978.
Both variations contain an error on the back where the side one tracks are labelled as 'Side Two' and vice versa.
