Although in use to denote Australian mono Beatles albums since 1964, stereo yellow Parlophone labels appeared on selected titles in February 1969. In most instances, a rectangular grey box, containing capitalised black 'stereo' text within, was situated approximately above the 'HONE' of PARLOPHONE, however, an additional variation occurred with Sgt Pepper's, where an unboxed capitalised 'stereo' text is printed to the left of the centre-hole. The font of this latter 'stereo' notation is similar to the second 'stereo' label text style of Apple albums.
