Although the Australia 'yellow Parlophone' label is generally associated with mono pressings of the mid-late 1960's, the label style was also utilised on some stereo pressings, of a few titles, issued in February 1969. In most instances seen to date, the stereo format is designated via PCSO number and a prominent grey rectangular box, containing STEREO text within, situated above and justified-right of PARLOPHONE. A variant appeared on the second of the two known Sgt Pepper's YB-Stereo labels, in which 'stereo' text is printed to the left of the spindle-hole, where music-royalty stamps were hitherto placed; this second 'stereo' style is similar to that used on later Apple-label albums.
