At the same time that the yellow/black Parlophone label was introduced for mono records, a silver and dark blue/black label loosely based on the defunct UK gold stereo Parlophone label was introduced for stereo records. This label style would continue throughout the 1960s until the first attempt at standardisation occurred in February 1969.
